Ok, I know Crews LP style guitars are very highly regarded, wondering about their Tele & Strat style guitars. Anybody here play or own one? Thoughts?

Probably to the surprise of no one, I have 2 Crews bolt ons, a Vintage Line '52 Black Guard and a KTR ST54. The neck on both are a fat soft V shape that I find near perfection. I've owned other V shaped neck, but these just feel more right, for my hand anyway. Both play and sound great.

The VL tele is lightly aged in butterscotch while the ST54 is not aged but has a cloudy lacquer tobacco sunburst finissh.

The Tele was part of a series of Black Guards from 51, 52, and 53. Here's a video demo of all 3.

The strat was a Musicland Key model. The K&T pickups are the lowest output strat pickups I've ever encountered, very clean and clear. Here's a spec page.

I'll get pics of both up later.

Nice demos! What’s the differences in those three teles? Progressively hotter pickups?

Great tone, what amp and pedals are you using?

That's a demo put out by the store where these were available in 2013, Hoochie's. I have no idea what they are playing through. Nor do I know the differences. I have looked for a blog post or description, but haven't come across any good info. All I know is that my '52 model plays and sounds as good as any tele I have owned at any price point.

Here's another demo of the 2022 '52 model. The description says it's going through a 68 Deluxe with an Organic Sounds Zeus Over Drive.

How much are these?
Here's the last one available from the 2022 run. 520K yen converts to $3,850. Thankfully, I found mine a couple of years ago for considerably less.

Thanks for chiming in, and that Vintage Line '52 looks amazing!
