He's been trying to sell his company for a year.

Curious which company that builds replicas is partnering up with him... that means one thing, that's going to be his bread and butter. He'll limit his Reverb listings to what he can actually produce over and above what is needed for the replicas.
Pat Sims pulled the same thing... his orders for Kramer and other large companies get completed, but "Joe Plumber" orders are 50/50 at best.
There are documented complaints from domestic and overseas folks who ordered from Creamtone in the past few years up until now. He has complaints on FB, BBB website, both LP forums, you name it everywhere. I have read through virtually all of them. I know for fact now that my part won't arrive. No big deal. My bank will hopefully get my money back, and Mojoaxe was happy to do business with me.

Ya, given his reputation of the last 2 years, I'm surprised any reputable company would be willing to partner with him.

But even though the stories are not hard to find, the planet is full of those who are unaware.
Google any of his parts and you get the link.
Google Creamtone and you might get the links to complaints... but just googling the part and you get his link.

I wanted to get one of these Vintage Truss Rod Covers on Reverb, but after reading this thread I am having second thoughts.

Check with Dan at Mojoaxe
He can be slow to respond, as he is busy, but once he does, you have his undivided attention.

He just delivered me a burst style pickguard for my LP. Nice workmanship and fast shipping. Apparently he will be taking some time off for holiday and I believe he said jury duty in the near future. He does in fact answer his emails.

Lonnie is working in the repair section of Lay’s Guitar Shop in Akron, Ohio. I had to chase him down after he ghosted me on an order.

I don’t think that him working for the shop should be any reflection on Lay’s, they have a strong rep in the community for good work.

But they’d hire/align themselves with someone with zero integrity?

Guilty by association.

Not my intention to defend anyone but could it be they don't know
about his recent history?
:dunno:

If so, maybe they should be made aware of it.
Just a thought.

I would find that hard to believe, given that a simple Google search will pop these threads up.

But OK, giving Lay's the benefit of the doubt, yes... they should be informed.

I have been doing business with Mojoaxe the past couple years and have nothing but great things to say about Dan and his operation. Before that I used Creamtone, and never had any problems with him and his product.

I would strongly recommend NOT contacting Lay's about him in any negative/cautionary way about him. Regardless of your personal experience it could be grounds for a tortious interference lawsuit.
