Has anyone else had issues with orders taking a long time from Creamtone? I placed an order about 2 weeks ago, received half of what I ordered .... emailed about the rest of my order, but haven't heard a thing back in response. Just curious if this was normal operating procedure or if something was going on over there?

I emailed him a question five days ago .. right away got a form email response detailing some of the issues he’s having, like a lot of businesses now I suppose.

Still, it was a very simple question he’s apparently too swamped to answer. If you cannot answer an email in almost a week, you’re gonna lose business. Faber will get my money, I guess.

Yeah, I got an automated reply to a questioni first asked about a recommendation on which option to go with on something I was looking to purchase from him. Now I get nothing from the 3 emails I’ve sent since asking where my order was. I’m just going to open a case with PayPal and file a dispute. Seems to be SOP for him for a while now. This was my first time ordering directly from him and only did so because the few usual places I order from were Out of Stock on what I was looking to purchase. I won’t be making that mistake again and hopefully can get refunded pretty quickly for what I didn’t receive.

I ordered a harness from him 6 weeks ago, still haven't received it. I've emailed and that didn't get anywhere.
Finally I called him and he did call me back a few days later. He left me a message apologizing and said he was behind and it would go out in a few days. That was a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. I've filed a dispute with PayPal. Hopefully that gets things moving.
His Facebook page is full of similar complaints. Sad what hes let happen to a successful business. Being busy is no excuse for this IMO

He's had some issues over the past year and those seem to be lingering.

Before the pandemic he was always very responsive and the product was of high quality. I was thinking about Creamtone for another item or two but I've held off until his business bounces back - which will be about the time we really get out of this pandemic mess.

I’m sorry, these issues presented themselves long before the pandemic. There are more threads here along the same lines, from way before the pandemic.

Yup,... Victor is right,.. long before the pandemic..... I had issues with the same delays and excuses.... incomplete orders.....a year before the pandemic.... nothing new.... nothing improved. You will get your order, just takes more time then it should.

I just placed an order for a jack plate. I hope it doesn't take long.

Sorry to hear that others had problems before the pandemic. I *never* did - and I am not a friend or family of Lonnie.

I ordered a set of knobs on the 11th. Email a week later. No response. I really want the knobs but I’m filing a dispute if they don’t ship soon. If they aren’t in stock I doubt I’ll ever see them. If they are, several weeks is plenty of time to ship.

If he’s so far behind he can’t ship in 2-3 weeks he needs to suspend sales until he’s caught up. I love their products but he’s at risk of tanking his business with the whole no shipping and no communication thing.

Try calling him. Email is useless, he doesn't check it. He does check his voicemail, eventually

It's 2021 and he's an internet business, There's no excuse not to check emails.

I almost ordered a set of plastics for my LP, glad I saw this thread I'm not dealing with that kind of bullsh*t, especially when there's a pattern of bad behavior.

He's a old man in a garage workshop hand making "vintage era" correct parts..... give him a break.

I agree 100%. Its just the only way I've been able to reach him.

I was able to get my money back. PayPal ruled in my favor immediately after the response time. This is my first time filing a dispute with PayPal so I could be wrong, but the immediate ruling in my favor leads me to believe I'm not the only one filing disputes with him. Good luck to those still waiting on parts

Honestly, I'm willing to. I run my own business. I've been underwater with work before. I know exactly what it's like.

But at some point you have to communicate. Just tell me what's going on, give me the option to cancel my order or wait, something. You can't just sit back and let stuff ride. Part of running a business is communicating with your customers.

I’m sure this was meant to be sarcastic, but other than possibly aging the parts and soldering harnesses together, I’m willing to bet $100 that nothing is made in house.

The two times I ordered from him (2019 and 2020) I received the parts within a couple weeks. I'm sad to hear that others have had trouble.

Is there another source for vintage-style plastics for a modern LP Standard/Traditional? I want to replace my Trad Pro with a new pickguard and rings but now I'm not sure about ordering from Creamtone until things change.

I have ordered several items from Lonnie in the last month or two and I have received every one of them in two weeks. It’s best to telephone him if you have an issue. I called him one time and left a message. He returned my call within thirty minutes. Every item I received has been perfect and at a reasonable price. Try another dealer outside of the US and pay far more and wait longer. Creamtone is in the US and I have never had an issue with quality, price and shipping time. But, that’s just me.

I'm surprised that Creamtone has not bothered to post an explanation here. People are reasonable about personal crises and/or various uncontrollable business issues, but understandably unwilling to get hosed or blown off. Without a reasonable explanation from Creamtone (who I have used with no issues other than high price, but not in the last 2 years) I would absolutely not place and order there, nor do I think it is ethical for Creamtone to accept more orders if they are so far behind anbd unwilling to communicate with buyers whose orders they have not fulfilled. You can't take money from people.
