I Chair a board that oversees a significant portfolio. Our fund managers report to us on a rotating basis. Because of the size, we get the suits from HQ. Guys I could never get through to on a call personally. Last month the initial dip was said to be a correction looking for an excuse to happen and the virus was more of a convenient vehicle to use to do that. We hear from another manager this afternoon. It'll be interesting to see the difference a month makes and their fresh take on whatever happens today.

Please give us an update as soon as you can after the meeting. You may well be getting the clearest information.

We have food, a puppy, and weapons. I also have a 90 day supply of meds, PPE supplies and ammo for the weapons

I’m not sure we’ll have a major outbreak but it’s sound advice to be somewhat prepared for any disaster or emergency

.....Should panic set in, or word get out that you have a freezer full of food while your neighbors haven't eaten in a day, you may need to protect your home and/or food.....
If my neighbors haven't eaten, and I have food..... feeding them is higher on my list of priorities than shooting them.

Our value as a society is how well we come together, not how cunningly we fall apart.

Good for you sir!!!! I applaud you.

My grandkids other grandmother is a prepper. She's extremely proud of the fact that she's got enough to weather the storm. She's also made it quite clear there's no room in the inn. I often wonder what the point is in being the last man standing. Is there a prize for that? Sorry kids. Grandma loves you, but grandma's gotta eat.

I actually learned a decent amount of morals from Happy Days.

This episode was moving to me as a kid, and actually helped shape some of the ways I feel about society-vs-individual need.

For the people in this thread, I think it's worth your five minutes.

Oh man, I had severe body cramps, vomiting and diarrhea yesterday, after spending the day before on planes riding home.

Luckily, it was short lived and I feel all better tody.

...except for a strange craving for raw meat. :laugh2:

morons = CEOs of the big companies

China did not stop shipping - COVID-19 did

Yup CEOs who can’t think past the next quarter.

CCP and CEOs are a bad combination.
