Anyone here ever cover a bare knuckle pickup? I emailed them about using a gibson cover on their pickup and they said they recommend me sending them the pickup so they can solder on the cover, pot the pickup, and test it for micophonics. Is this really necessary to mail my pickup to England? Why can't I just throw a nickel/silver cover on it like I do on all my other pickups?

Tim can be a perfectionist about his stuff and that's not a bad thing. I put a cover on one and it worked out fine. If you have any experience at doing it, you should be fine.

I've covered plenty of pickups before, I just wasn't sure if bare knuckles were somehow more prone to micro phonics when covered, I just couldn't understand why I would have to send them to England to get covered, but being that I have successfully covered plenty of pickups using just silicone, I will just cover them myself.
