So my 2021 Trad Pro V has a compound radius neck. As I found out yesterday, due to this, my new historic M69 rings work fine on the bridge, but are too tall on the neck and the B/E strings whack out north of the 12th fret due to the historic rings sitting higher than the neck radius in relation to the edge of the neck and body carve (big sad
).
So question: Will switching over from the stock Nashville TOM (which is fine as far as height and intonation) to a historic ABR (or equivalent, Faber etc) cause any similar issues with the guitar's geometry (in favor of the tonal change)? Any unforseen issues otherwise?
Cheers!
