I just moved pups from an epi LP into my 2012 LP STD. I used the molex quick connectors to keep the stock board/pots. I bought the connectors off a fellow member specifically for SD pups.
The coil tap sounds WAY different in this guitar, especially the PGN. I have trouble even hearding a difference. It was like this on the old pups too - a jazz & custom/59 hybrid
I saw the description from gibson is a 'tuned' coil tap..does it really sound that much different than say 500k pots from my RS Guitarworks kit?
I am almost wondering if the wires are wrong
