I never understood people who hated on bands and that spout off about how awful bands are. They way I look at it, if you are into into it, move on. Some people just like to rain on other peoples parades and to me it just shows their weakness.

I have respect for all genres of music. I may not like something, but ill respect and I don't feel a need to flame it. Ii feel no need to say how much someone sucks. Whats the point.

It is a waste of my time and energy. You will not find a post of me flaming any music or musician on this or any site. You may see me saying that something is not my trip, but Ill respect them for their effports. There is a difference between that and saying that someone sucks and just how much a person hates them.

The way I see it, if people don't like something and they are commenting on just how much they think they suck or how much they hate them, they are just looking for a reaction from the ones who do dig them.

I do lots of trading. Torrents are great for sure. I prefer rapidshare, megaupload ect..

There is some great stuff online, but most of the real gems I have come from trades or B&P.

There are some excellent sites out there for live shows thats for sure.

I don't give a rats ass about anyone who downloads media......I prefer glass mastered purchased recordings, not shitty copies of copies etc...
If you're content on listening to crappy files that have been altered by every person who re shares them online AND you have the lifespan to waste downloading, then have at it. Cheat yourself outta hearing every dynamic that gets lost in downloads.

I want the recording that the artist intended on the listeners to experience AND I want that artist to be compensated for the product that I'm enjoying.
I ONLY download an artists work to preview it Before I purchase it.

I think it's absurd in this day and age to try to stop fan filming/photography though. We are a media rich society. Look around at any concert and you won't see lighters in the air anymore, you see LED screens on cell phones and cameras. Times have changed. I think a wise artist will go along with it and try to exploit that phenomena to their advantage. Kinda like BCC is doing with the fan video contest and Trent Reznor does with remix contests.

and I agree with you on this as well....thats why I think that theres more to this story than we're seeing in the vid. Cell phone cameras and "basic" pocket cams/recorders are not gonna threaten any artist IMO.
But seeing organized and strategically placed videographers with high $ recording equipment monopolizing on your efforts could be reason for such action.

Then after his butthurt set in I simply responded to his response. I did not say that anyone could not express their feelings. I simply stated I did not understant it.
