anyone here rock climb or boulder? I've been climbing a lot recently. were fortunate in washington to have a ton of different indoor climbing gyms and tons of outdoor climbing as well. cant wait for it to warm up to go hit some outdoor spots.

needless to say, climbing and playing guitar don't really go well together. took my gnarliest injury so far last night. luckily its my picking hand.

I dont climb or boulder, but I do run the river bed on the rocks. I find it to be an excellent combo of physical and mental strengthening. Running the rocks you have to be 3 or 4 steps ahead of yourself, and ready to adjust on a loose rock.

Nah, you'd be fine. BUT If you do, best have a plan because there is no cell reception, and if the injury is bad enough it's a helicopter out

When I was maybe 10 or so in 1969 we went to a place called Sugarloaf mountain park and us kids decided to climb this mountain.Well I get about half way up and can go no further. My brother is yelling above and finally my dad climbs up and tries to get me down and I am having none of it.Eventually two Forrest rangers get me down. Here is a picture of the (well now it looks more like a hill but back then to me it was Mt Everest)the area I took a few years ago.

I love climbing even though I am terrible at it. I'll thrash my way up a 5.4 and feel like Superman once I get to the top.

Great for the body, mind, and spirit. The metaphors of climbing can't be beat: up, rising, gaining, higher . . . positivity in a pure form.

Peace

I can't honestly say im that great myself but im getting better. I gave up drinking entirely and this has been a pretty good substitute. I would rather wake up sore than hungover any day.

I went to a park a couple days ago that has a natural boulder there for climbing. you can get up easily on the back side of it so I didn't think anything of it. they when it was time to get back down I realized it was covered in moss and very slippery. needless to say, I took my time crawling down.

Climbing, in and out of doors, was my primary workout (3x/week or so) in my mid 20s. I loved it. When I moved to NYC I did it a lot less... My hands we like vices.
