Well if you can't decide which one looks better than get the one which has better pickups.

I don't know about the other 2 guitar's,
But if i'm not mistaken this one is factory/dealer refurbished in some way going by that style of serial # sticker. Is it priced somewhat cheaper than the other's?
(Not saying it a bad thing..just something to look closer at)

Goldtop for looks, then slap some Probuckers or Alnico Classic Pros gotten second-hand online for peanuts :)

Really, the Pro lineup of pickups is really something. Great vintage-correct pups. The AC Pros are far superior to the 490r/498t sets that come in most sub-2K Gibsons.

The LP Standard PlusTop Pro Flame Maple finishes are more to my taste! I have the Heritage Cherry Sunburst and it looks far better to the eye than in most photos. The rich Flame Maple body is gorgeous and the red grain pattern on the neck and back are beautiful! The coil split Probuckers sound great and the Grovers are dead on. Go with what calls to you! Also there are a few limited editon colors out there in Bourbon Burst, Trans Black, a Dirty Lemon.

Even the limited editon color Desert Burst is spectacular! Played one at GC a few weeks ago and it almost came home with me. It looks like Honey Maple Syrup, and the top flame maple pattern was perfect! Looks way better than in most photos. There's another thread here on the MLP Forums where the OP posted a good photo of the one he recently got. See: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/epi...phone-les-paul-standard-pro-desert-burst.html

Goldtop! Appears to be a dark back which I personally like :naughty:! Pups that's an easy fix...DiMarzio's :dude:! Scrape the fretboard, and condition her and she will turn darker and look much better :naughty: . Seriously, that is a good looking Goldtop, except for the knobs :hmm:!

I'm a genuine fool for Goldtops so my opinion is somewhat biased and I admit it but consider this. Just as Fender did custom color orders over bursts in the early days, Gibson did Goldtops over maple caps and they weren't choosy about it either. A lot of Goldtops were sprayed over AAA or even AAAA flame maple caps. Musta been a reason for it. My guess is that it's because Goldtops are just way cooler...:hmm:

Good catch. That will affect resale when you decide to get the Goldtop.

Everyone needs a GT LP.

Seriously, I think few finishes show off the beauty of the top carve, like a GT. That said, I much prefer them with a natural back,

I can't stand CSBs, but ymmv.

But yes, Alnico Classics are not going to be quite as nice sounding as Probuckers. In fact, I would count on replacing them, if it were me getting it.

But, I'm not a fan of the back of that PTP.

So, I'd get the GT, if it were me, and replace the pickups, and get some reflector top tophats and replace the ugly arsed amber ones..

I´ve had both an Epi LP Standard (ebony in my cas) and an Epi LP plus top pro, and I have to say that the Plus Top was a better guitar in every aspect.
Better pickups and electronics, coil taps, more confortable neck, better craftmanship, and less issues (the stadrad had a noticeable problem of fret buzz)... even after changing all the electronics and the pickups of the standard for Duncans, I still felt than the plus top was a better guitar and sounded better, more open and less muddy.
