While I'm waiting for finishing supplies for my Blue Oval build, I thought I'd get started on the other car-themed guitar, the Chevy Bowtie logo.
The body is 1-3/4" Alder, and the neck is a GFS paddle head with a Tele heel. Still working on ideas for the headstock design.

That should be interesting. Not very comfortable to play but I have seen worse.

...a MUFFLER guitar? Where are the pics on that one? (Haven't read all thru, yet...)
Here's the entire build:

Here's the entire build:
...and a BASS, no less! Very nice! All I had was a Firebird with a '72 Trans Am nose decal the length of the body...(sorry, I have no pics, as it left before I could get one...pre-"camera-phone" days...

Cool. Maybe angle the tip of the headstock the same angle as the right side of the bowtie?

All done, and it sounds and plays great, with no buzzes, and it intonates right on the money. I'm really liking the Duo Sonic-style bridge; it's really simple and has a huge range of adjustment. Fun build!
