They finally got some pics up at MF for the Epi LE G-400 Pro that will be available in May. These models will sport the Alnico Classic PRO P/U's. Like the Probucker's these pups are made with Alnico II magnets. More good stuff from Epi to look forward to.

Will this have neck binding? I kind of think it should, sticking with the upgraded concept. However, if it doesn't, it is still cool.

The neck P/U will be the same as the Trad Pro Neck P/U. They're apparently doing a hotter Plus P/U too for the bridge. I think these Alnico Classic PRO's with the Alnico II magnets are Epi's real version of the Gibson 57 Classics. I've seen nothing yet to prove that theory though. Jeez, I don't know if I can afford an more GAS!!

I'm just wondering if my Silverburst will come with Probuckers and an Ebony Fretboard. Seeing how now they've split the Custom Silverbursts as Regular and PRO.

And if that Ultra PRO came with Coil Taps it would be the Ultimate Guitar.

IMO the regular will just be until they sell what they have coming with the old pups. MF updated their page to show the new silverburst pro with rosewood board...

The Ultra PRO will have the Nanomag and the USB connection like the Ultra 3. Dr. Epiphone showed it off at NAMM 2012

well, that is just sexy as hell then it will be interesting to see if it also has the coil splitting that the "standard" pro will have... that wasn't mentioned on the MF site, but neither was the nano and USB!

Ok, I rewatched the Video and the Ultra Pro has Probuckers with Coil Taps, but no mention of the other stuff. He was showing off a Ultra 3 first, but the color blue he was showing was darker than what I've seen before so I figured he mistook the Ultra Pro for the Ultra 3. Sorry about that.

Big question: Is the top a MAPLE CAP or MAPLE STICKER?! My Plus Top Pro FX is a Maple Sticker.

AFAIK all the Epi LP's have a veneer except the solid colors like Ebony and the Gold Top or the Elitist series. The only exception that I know of is the new Ace Frehley Budokan which is supposed to have a 3 piece hard Maple Cap. Anymore, I'm not 100% sure about anything.

The Ultra III does have the Probuckers, no coil taps though unfortunately. I guess that will be coming in the Ultra IV.

Yep! The new Ultra Pro comes with Probuckers as well and Coil Taps.

MF is having another sale on some selected Epi's. The best one seems the ES-339 PRO for $399, also the LPC PRO is $549. I don't know if you would be able to use the valentine14 coupon or not, which has been increased from 10% to 14% BTW .
