I have that same 50s Standard. I tried the reflectors and took them off immediately. Looked out of place to me.

I’d rather invest in hardware upgrades that affect functionality & tone over visual, but that’s just me & if I did change things up it would still be pretty traditional and in appearance to the vintage Les Pauls of the past, probably just getting old & stuck in my ways I guess..

Looks good either way but I am really liking the black with the dark burst.

That actually works really well on the guitar, and normally Im' not a fan at all of black plastic on a Les Paul that isn't a Black Beauty Custom. Nicely done.

I assumed that I'd like the creme better. But side by side, I actually prefer the black. Looks sharper.
