Last Friday, my wife was walking the two Chihuahuas and had a fall. Uneven sidewalk and a tumble. She's turning 66 in a week, and this has been tough. Bruised ribs, sprained wrist, pains all over, and a concussion. She's taking it really hard, and I'm afraid it's going to get her depressed.

Not looking for sympathies, just venting. She smacked her forehead really hard, and has a bad black eye. She's an awesome person, normally full of life, but right now she's struggling. Thankfully I get to work from home to take care of her.

This is after a couple days, it was worse.

Wow. I can just imagine how the colors will change with that injury.
Up side. Sounds like she is in good care.

Here's a thought.
Set her up for some pampering once she heals.

If you have the equivalent of a 'day spa' near you, get her an appointment at one of those.
Otherwise, setup a hair day with a manicure and massage.

Perhaps that can lighten her mood.

I'm betting your wife has very low blood pressure of takes aspirin or a blood thinner

those injuries appear reminiscent off a fall my mother took down an escalator
a couple of years back
black & blue from head to toe but unhurt
she has very low blood pressure

the concussion is the real danger here

Damn! That probably looks worse than it is (hopefully). Sorry to hear, and hope that she has a speedy recovery.

Sorry to see she had a tumble.
After my wife had surgery on her jaw one side of her face and eye came out in a massive bruise.
Wherever we went until it healed people were looking at me as if I had something to do with it....
Very embarrasment. :)

Damn, X..

Pass along our well wishes, and remind her that "this too shall pass". Keep her spirits up, boy.

Tell her Dave said she's got pretty eyes, regardless of what happened.

Very sorry to hear bud. Tough duty for both of you. It’s a no fun fact that stuff we used to laugh off now is so slow the heal. Take good care of her.

wow . that is some color in that bruise :eek2:

see if she's up for the idea of taking a picture of it everyday , to watch the progress . you can put it in a time lapse video __ and call it " The Life of a Bruise " . you can supply the soundtrack ( what does a healing bruise sound like ? :hmm: )

make it a family project

seriously though . hope that she feels better with each passing day . tell her that she has a sunset on her face
