I bought a nice LP believed to be a 2004 les paul standard. It has the original checklist card with it and the model number is LP6THSNU1

It's not going to be a Traditional. The Traditional split from the Standard in 2008. IIRC, the Classic does not have a plus top.Thank you that does describe it. It is definitely heritage cherry with a plus top. but i think later models would have a TD for traditional. or SD for standard. The trussrod cover is just a black plain bell. So i am not sure if it is a standard or a classic or what the lineup was in 2003-2004. I paid 1100$ for it and it sounds and plays good so i am happy either way. Just trying to confirm now.

Mid 2008 is when the Traditional was introduced.

You are describing a LP Standard.. just to be sure though, Is the serial # inked or stamped on the back of the headstock?
Stamped - its a standard just like we told you
Inked - It's a classic
