This guitar was a good friend's that he got in the 70's as a kid. He thinks it was bought from a Sears catalog (which might mean a Silvertone or Kay) but all my web searches have come up empty.

The pickguard on his guitar is unlike the ones I have seen in old catalogs. Any help is appreciated.

Could be a Teisco of some sort. Coronets had a bridge pickup and Wilshires had two pickups.

Pickguard is a little different but I'm sure that varied from year to year or maybe had been changed on the one in the listing. Otherwise looks like a close match.

Unbranded doesn't help too much but others here will know who Sears used for their unbranded stuff. Definitely not an Epiphone of any kind. My gut is saying Silvertone or Harmony.

Too bad the controls and bridge are covered up in the picture.

I'm betting it's a Sears Silvertone, vintage 1963 to 1966 or thereabouts.

Those big dot inlays look like a European instrument.
