Can a Junior be properly strung/intonated with 11s?

Title says it all....new member here and longtime Tele fanatic who is jonesing for a Junior, but I have concerns about the wraparound bridge.

Are there issues with intonation/action/bridge working properly if you put an 11-49 set on it strung in standard E tuning?

Any/all info appreciated.

My Jr is strung with 11s and has no issues.

You need to remember, when the Junior came out 11's were light gauge! It will be fine. Actually, it will probably intonate better with bigger strings.

11's will be fine. I've had 11's, 9's, 9-46's, and 10-52's on my Junior with no problem. But remember, intonation is approximate at best with a wraparound. However, it's plenty close enough.

All things being equal, 11s will sound as if they're intonated better because they're less likely to go sharp when fretted. Lowering your action has the same effect, additive.

I put little stock in intonation via the bridge. I've got three guitars with practically non-adjustable bridges, and they play fine when set up correctly.

Edit: make that four - I forgot the Tele.

Other thing is, you can always get a badass, and store the stock bridge against a future resale.
