For the record, here is an excerpt of my communications with Rand on his website. I ordered a harness on March 8, 2021.

I also had a parallel conversation with him later on Reverb that will be available on my next post (please start at bottom):

  • Has this order been fulfilled?​

    You said: Hello Rand, I am confused: (1) I just received an email asking me to mention my appreciation of the harness, which I haven’t received yet. (2) And the status of my account still says “awaiting fulfillment”. (3) Finally, the last communication I got from you said that I would be reimbursed over the next 5-6 days.. I don’t think it can be more confusing from my standpoint. :) Can you please give me a precise status of my order? Has it been fulfilled? Will it be fulfilled? I need that information to decide if I quit shopping for another option to meet my need. Thank you. Best regards, Ben

    Communications​

    You said: Thank you for your reply. I sent three messages through your generic communication channel “contact us” (ie outside of the account login). I got no reply on those three. Then, I discovered the messaging capability in the “account” menu, in which you correctly found two messages (like the one you replied, which were actually messages #4 and #5, if you add the first unanswered three) This imbroglio could easily have been avoided with a phone call. But I was unable to find your phone number on the website. So, if my only available communication option is the email, and after 4 emails I still have no answer, it is understandable that any normal person would become impatient. If you tell me that you can process my order quickly and ship it quickly as well, you can fulfill it. I am sure you build a great product. Please let me know what you will do. Best regards,

Man, I'm pissed that I missed Rand's replies to this.. Dang!!!!! If any one can fill me in, please do!! I've been trying to add a review on his website, but negative reviews are auto deleted (go figure)

He was sockpuppetting! I posted my whole story and the survey late one evening. I filled it with my negative answer and the morning after he had created 20 fake accounts that were all in favor of his company.

He was saying things like « JEL has more than 1300 5-star reviews on Reverb, all those people can’t be wrong! », or « maybe communications are bad, but the products are fantastic! »

Obviously, people on the forum noticed this suspicious activity and started to get a serious chuckle about his comments, like « this is peak TGP! It doesn’t get any better than this! ». Lol

At 12:30pm the day after (roughly 14 hours after my survey, ), TGP took the whole thing down, following lawyer mentions from Rand.
