stumbled across this beauty. 1980 Burny FLG. Can anyone tell from these pics if it's a 90 (veneer) or 150 (solid)?

suppose to be all original except for pickups, which looks about right.

veneer until you get photos from inside the cavity proving that it's solid

Hi Cliff!
I found that ,with the exception of 1975 to early 1976 Terada Burnys and 1978 Tokai made Burny/Fernandes, all Terada and Dyna made Burnys/Fernandes with a serial number actually don't have a serial number but a date code.
Format = YDDMM.

This guitar has a chance of being a 150 btw;
It has double ring tuners, a white switch tip and as far as I can see no Super Grade script = pre november 1980.
This guitar looks to have a COS finish, in 1980 most FLG90s have a CS finish (also COS finish option for FLG-90 first time catalog spec'd in 1981) and only finish option for 150/240 in 1980 was COS.
Still; I have only seen 3 solid topped 1980/81 FLGs ever and this looks like veneer to me.

I believe the serial is 02208.. I can make out the 022 for sure, not positive about the 08. Anyway, reading jacco's comment, I did my searching and found that this is generally true. Hopefully someone recognizes the guitar and can tell us more about it

I think we can all agree, that some statements in this thread are factually accurate.
