Building a LP Tailpiece... material?

I have a friend who is a professional machinist who has offered to build me some parts in return for some work I did for him. I figure I'll start small and simple, with a LP standard tailpiece.

My first thought was to have him build one out of aluminum, like a standard 50s TP. However, he suggested titanium. Any other ideas out there?

haven't tried it yet but would love a all titanium bridge

Hey Flick did you install the titanium saddles? I liked 'em! Any tone reports when you install the titanium tailpiece appreciated! Rock Johnson i would def seriously consider the titanium tp.

If you already have the heavy zinc alloy one you could consider the cheap alu one say by Gotoh. Looks fine and you'll have options to choose from.
