The more I see this new top, the more I like it. This is going to be such a cool guitar
when you're done. I'm sure you've said, but I've already forgotten and I'm obviously
too lazy to go back and re-read, however; are you planning "F" holes, or no?

I am really digging this build.:thumb: Thanks for posting the multiply binding info. I'll be using that method on my current semi-hollow build. :naughty:

i know whatever you choose to do, you are going to do an excellant job---with or w/o f-holes, but since you asked...

I know it ain't unique or anything, but I think that baby is screaming for twin traditional treatment.

beautiful top, regardless of how you go. am looking forward to more.

Option #1, only one!

EDIT: I do agree with LC100, though, they seem a little too big.

Hmm, I'm not feeling the F holes. Maybe it's their scale? They just look huge to me.

And, TKO, something very flamey showed up today. :D

I promise to document that one fully. In its own thread.

Looking forward to that for sure! :thumb:

This guitar gets cooler and cooler. For F-holes, I think something slimmer and double if you're going to do it at all (like those that Vistoluk is doing right now). That's a personal thing, however, and you should go with what looks best to your eye. We're also seeing photos only, which don't really give the idea perspective...

Made some headway today with the TR and channel.

I also cut the mortis and tenon.

As custom would require, here is the "no glue" picture.:naughty:

I'm sanding the body so that the neck flows into the cutaway for better access to the higher frets.
I've cut the heal so it will leave plenty of the body around it to sand for the transition.
The only problem is, I have a tough time getting all three sides of the heal to set prefectly on the body.

So I had this silly idea, I cut a piece of the maple that was left over from the top so it would I could sand
all three surfaces of the heal at the same time.
I then glued 80 grit on one side and 120 grit on the other.

This little block worked great! all three sides of the heal are flat and fit to the body beautifully.

If I had thought of this before I could've saved the first neck on my first build, oh well live and learn.
