Buckers vs mini-buckers vs P90s

In 1973 I heard/played a gold top LP Deluxe w Mini’s in a store.
Lovely bridge pickup sound. Never forgot it.
Never re-achieved again either. That guitar was a good’n.
I’ve had P-90 guitars, and intend to have Lt Dave32 build me one.
But mostly now I’m into splittable humbuckers.

Two surprising results for me:
1. They were less different than I thought they would be; and,
2. I think I preferred the bridge mini humbucker

I can distinguish the clean tones.

But didn’t anyone else think that when Rick edited together the distortion clips at the end that it was a seamless change with virtually no difference between the pickups?
