Here are my two Custom Shop Juniors. A 2019 Les Paul TV 1957 reissue with a Mojoaxe pickguard. Love the contrast between the yellow / tortoise shell pickguard / black plastics! NGD post coming....

The second one is a 2018 Les Paul Junior in Sunshine 1958 reissue with an unpotted Alnico 3 Custombucker and my hand aged nickel cover. And aged Grovers, all mods done at the factory except the Custombucker, which was purchased on the market. That one is out of state, but at least I have the TV one to keep me company!

Love me some of that SG. What year?

You would be surprised.....It's from Gibson's "Original Collection".....a 2019.

It's a lot of guitar in a limited format,... perfect right out of the box.

I'm a big fan of P-90s. I currently have 4 Specials (right to left: Gibson doublecut, Gibson singlecut, Hamer USA doublecut, Epiphone singlecut), an Epiphone WildKat, and an Epiphone Casino:

In the past I've owned an additional two Gibson singlecut Les Paul Specials, and three single-P90 guitars (a Gibson singlecut Melody Maker with a GFS Dream 90, an Epiphone singlecut bolt-neck Junior, and an Epiphone singlecut setneck Junior). I decided that I prefer Specials to Juniors. Here are the two Epiphone Juniors.

My buddy was in a guitar shop back in the Winter of 2019 and played this and sent a pic of it to me. It’s a guitar Gibson used for display at NAAM that the shop had acquired. I loved these when I first saw them. Fast forward March 2020 and I visited the same shop. Had forgotten about this one. The owner took it down for me to try. played it and couldn’t put it down. When I finally did I negotiated what I think was a great price for it. Then I told him I’d be in touch. The shop is around an hour drive from home and a quarter of the way home I turned around and bought it. I did a quick search online for other used ones and there were none. There were a few cobras and cobalts but no bourbon. I didn’t want to miss out on this one and I’m glad I got it. It’s become my number one. It’s 7.4lbs, has access to every fret and it sounds as good as my 2013 58RI. I think these are now made to measure. I could be wrong. But if you get a chance to try one give it a whirl. It’s one of the nicest guitars I’ve ever played.

I know this is a Jr/Special thread but you mentioned “conversion” and I thought you might like to see this one. It’s a USA 2001 61” Reissue I had converted to a custom in Heather Poly Mist. I bought this around 20 years ago for around $700. I figured it would be a good donor. Ebony board, binding (with nibs), tortoise side markers, mop block inlays, custom headstock conversion, complete body re-carved and beveled the way USA’s are not. You can tell from the pics. It was almost a slab the carve was so shallow. Routed for middle pup, and a STINGER! It still has the standard serial number so I’m not planning on selling it as something it’s not. It’s definitely a keeper. I have less than 2k into it including the $700 purchase price. I found a new historic case on eBay for it for $200. It has a USA case but the historic case ups the presentation. Photos loaded backwards so original pics are last.
