Thanks for that link!
I want one too.
Had nylon saddles on my CS ‘64 SG and loved them.
Over the years I’ve used quite a few nylon saddles for ABR-1 bridges.
I like them especially for taking a bit of “ping” out my trebles when I want a smokier tone.

I really like them on my R8. Match up nicely with the nylon nut.

I just recently put them on my 335 as well.

Edited to add: The R8 saddles are individual saddles swapped out for the original ones on the stock bridge. The 335 unit is the Kluson USA Non-Wired ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic Bridge Nylon Saddles Nickel KABRNWN-N

I have one of the Faber bridges with nylon saddles. Are the TonePros ones pre-notched? I ask because nylon is a real pain in the butt to use nut slotting files on. I was quite surprised, thinking it would be really easy and it absolutely was not!

Good question, and yes, they are. Had to check because you threw a scare into me.

TonePros TP6G features:
  • Notched ivory-color nylon saddles—soft enough to reduce string breakage, but won't break or disintegrate
  • Nylon allows strings to move smoothly and easily while using a vibrato
  • Open-bottom construction
  • Zamak bridge body with nylon saddles and brass posts produce a warm, rich tone with a softer attack
  • Adjustable with flathead screwdriver

Well, the new bridge arrived today. As advertised the saddles were notched and it was a nice close-tolerance fit, drop-in replacement for the Nashville bridge. Well made. I need to do a set up and then give it a whirl.

I'll report back.

Yes, would like to see your report.

Only have one guitar with nylon saddles, a ‘71 Deluxe.
I do like the way it sounds.
Seems to allow smoother bending, which is probably all in my mind.

Probably be a week or so before I get to the set up. I'll try to make a vid and post it as long as wifey's honey-do list isn't too long. :fingersx:

Finally got around to measuring the string height with my feeler gauge. The 6th string (low E) is sitting > .035" above the 1st fret. No wonder I have to use clamping force to press down the strings when playing on that fret.

I measured the same string on my Deluxe and it's a shade under .015".

I'm ordering the files and I'm going to have a go at it very carefully and deliberately. Can't wait to see how this changes the action and the setup geometry when I'm finished.

I'll report back.
