Are any of you guys hooking up the Boss GT1 in your amp's effects loop? I want to use the effects only and bypass the amp sims. but I'm not sure how to hook this up using the amp's loop and the manual does not touch on it. The only input on the GT1 is shown in the manual as guitar in. Not sure if it's safe to send the effects send signal from the amp to the input on the GT1?

Here's a link to the Boss:

Yes t's safe to use the Boss with the loop. However, it might not be the best sound wise. If you use gain, wah, etc, that usually works best in front of the amp. Delay, verb, etc, works well in the loop.

I'll assume your amp has an FX Loop.
Attach a cable from your amps effect send to the guitar input, and then from the GT's output to the amps effects return
