Never heard of such a thing, nor can I think of a good reason to have one.

I think it is for someone that is used to playing acoustic. Thats the only thing I can see this being useful for.

:noway:MSRP of $129? I hope this guy didn't have too many of them made........ Fender had something similar called the Bodyguard back in the '60s, but it was just to protect the back of the instrument from buckle rash.

I would also worry about what it was made of given that it's going to be in contact with the nitro for extended periods of time (not that anyone will buy one!). But it did get a patent so it must be good! :laugh2::laugh2:

That was the problem with the Bodyguards. The adhesive used to attach the foam around the edges attacked the finish. Pissed me off!:mad:
