I've seen the pictures posted by members who remove the nut to see if they have a laminated fingerboard. The binding on the neck is a "T" shape (turned sideways) in cross section. This was a pleasant surprise since I always thought all the plastic binding was a just a flat ribbon. I was curious if the body binding has the same profile? :hmm:

No. The binding on the body is flat. The reason for the "T-shaped" binding on the fretboard, is to keep it from coming loose and popping off, because the fretboard, being RW, has a greater tendency to expand/contract, depending on climatic-conditions.

The "T" is actually achieved by running the binding through a shaper.:thumb:

Good point! Not to mention bending T binding would be rather difficult!
