I have been wanting a blue BFG for a long time & the last couple years I have been searching but the blue ones seem to be the hardest to find. This one is in unplayed condition & unmodded when I got it yesterday. I added the pickup ring this morning, the pickup is not pitched with the strings with the stock body mount & I can't stand that. I also have RS super pots, pio caps & pullback braided wire on the way & will be wiring it like a proper 50's Les Paul. It plays & sounds great & only weighs 7 pounds, I love this thing. It's a nice addition to my historics.

OK, that's cool. And a P90/humbucker? Very versatile. I also dig your Iommi monkey decal

The chambered body, thin finish, and P-90/humbucker combo really made this guitar shine.... plus mine smelled good too!

Yeah, the BFGs are awesome guitars. I love mine as well.
Never really noticed the blues in the past but that looks so cool :thumb:

What a dreamy finish! Wow!

+1 on the P90/humbucker setup. It bet it sounds every bit as good as it looks.

I love it. The Uncle Sam strap looks great with it. I'd have one of those and I'm British.

They really need to get the like button fixed, damn! Thanks for all the replies!

Since I posted this I have installed RS super pots, Russian PIO caps, Faber steel bridge studs, moved the 3 way switch to the proper location, removed the kill switch, changed the humbucker to a Duncan Custom Custom with an A4 magnet & did a proper setup.
I played it with the band last night & it is a tone monster, it will see a lot of gigs for sure. It's also pretty sweet to have a Les Paul that only weighs 7 pounds. In the near future it will get a BK Abraxas, I'm keeping the stock P90 as it has a great tone. I'll get some new pictures with the mods over the weekend.

Biggest regret:

Years ago not bringing home a used BFG that I test drove and LOVED.

CONGRATS!

Looks great in blue!

Very nice, love your BFG, especially in blue! :thumb:

I made my own so to speak, by modifying my 60's tribute with P90's.
