Birdseye Maple

I bought my first guitar 5 years ago, an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I picked one in the shop that I hadn't seen before because I wanted something a bit unique, and after a bit of research I think my guitar has a birdseye maple top. Is this correct? The picture quality is awful:

And are birdseye maple guitars worth anything? I paid £270 in 2004 - not that I'd ever sell it

Yep, It's a "Birds Eye Maple "top...doe's it have a "Limited Edition" sticker on the back of the headstock??

Unfortunately its in storage at the moment so won't be able to tell you about the sticker. I've moved in with the girlfriend's family while we save for a deposit and there's no room for my collection so I've had to make do with just my Casino and a practice amp until next Easter

Yeah, that looks like birdseye, a shame they made it a CBS, my dad has a Tele from the 60's that has birdeye maple and a plain finish. Looks stunning.

Yeah I love birdseye maple - saw one in a local shop but didn't have the cash before it was gone - very sexy looking finnish on a LP. 'Should' be a limited Ed, as the guy above said but Epi make so many Limited Eds it won't make it worth alot more.

I bought my "x-mas" tree (dubbed by MLP members) LP 2nd hand for about the same price.

I love my LP Classic '94 MIK Amber Trans. I had this one for a really long time and still like it to this day. Upgraded with SD's Alnico II Pro Neck & Bridge and a set of vintage Gibson pots and Made in germany R's. Full tone, covering many different playing styles from warm blues to crushier hard rock. I like to compair it with some Gibbies and it truely stands up as a pretty good guitar, with just some minor upgrades to it...

It's certainly a different/interesting type of timber.
I didn't really like the look of mine but it really grew on me after I took it home.
