I have to say the best sounding gits Ive owned are (in no particular order)
03 sg faded (unbelievable) ebony board tone machine
05 faded standard
80 Ibanez MC500
pre 75 Ibanez strat copy
Ibanez silver series Tele
These gits in my opinion are the best of the best
What are yours?

Out of literally hundreds of guitars, it would be one of my Ramirez classicals. So much more musical than any of my vintage Fenders or Gibsons. Not cheap, but worth it.

I have a bunch of "pricey Gits"
but the ones that have my tone r the ones listed
acoustic I really like the Tacoma I have (rosewood body ebony board
etc)
It beat out several Martins I was looking at

Might sound weird.. but none of my Gibsons (I'm done with the FanBoy stuff).
The best I've owned was a '75 Travis Bean TB1000A (wish I'd kept it)!

My long gone 1972 Les Paul Custom

She was so great I went out and found myself a second one a couple months later.

After tonight? My '97 R7.

I was about to flat out give it away after playing it through my Bronco and AC30 for the past year. But earlier tonight it came ALIVE when I plugged it into my Mesa Maverick, which had been sitting unloved in storage for the past year.

89 LPC and my EVH Stealth HT, also my Short Guitars GT...that thing loves every pickup I've ever put in it and plays like butter.

Honorable mention for a guitar under $1k is my RGIB6...just a beast of a guitar for the $.

1963 Gretsch Tennessean sadly It's long gone

1975 Les Paul also gone...

Wish I would have had the drive to play when my uncle gave me those...

My current best and one I'll never let go 2014 SG Standard.

I had a 1991 PRS CE24 that I really liked, and should not have sold. It played a lot better than my Custom 22 and my Gibsons. I played a newer CE24 and it didn't seem right either.
