I did some reading about grizzys after reading the OP. I came across a story of 3 guys out hunting and one shot a grizzly moving downhill away from them, hit the shoulder area with a .338 the bear spun round and charged uphill at a rate of knots, their guide dumped 6 rounds into it from a twin barrel big game gun before it stopped.

They're indeed very brave and lucky to be alive. No animal on earth can match the ferocity of a grizzly bear in kill mode.

Yeah I'd be devastated to lose my dog but they are replaceable, I'm not.

Amazing how quickly this devolves into testosterone fueled “if it were me, that grizzly wouldn‘t stand a chance against my 50000 caliber bazooka.” Self defense/preservation is one thing, but I’m not down with killing animals with guns for sport. Those bears are just trying to live on what little land we haven‘t taken over and polluted on this planet.

I agree, unless I'm hunting to feed myself. I have no need to hunt to eat, but I would not have a problem with it.
