I want to buy a new bass with my Christmas money, and I've narrowed it down to 2 choices, an Ibanez ATK or a Yamaha RBX4 A2. I'll be buying either one on ebay, so I don't really know how they'll play. Can someone please help me out?

I dont have any personal experience with those models, but the Ibanez basses Ive played have all been fairly light with slim necks, with slimmer string spacing (compared to a Fender bass) very comfortable. I can't recall having played a Yamaha bass, but Ive heard good things, I know Michael Anthony uses (used?) them

Well the ATK is certainly not light. Not sure which model in particular you are going after, but most of them were made out of Northern Ash. Heavy stuff.

They play well and sound great. They play and feel alot like a vintage J Bass.

The Yamaha...not all that familiar with it.

This Yamaha A2 is made of new "sandwich" technology and it is very lite. But, at the same time, it sounds very well.
