Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the large photos... not sure how to make them smaller (any advice is welcome)
I'm located in Australia. Putting these items up for sale, I have 3 strats and want a tele, so one strat will have to go.
See pics at
For Sale - Imgur The neck and body are 1 year old and are finished in nitro.
Shipping will be on the buyer and prefer PP gift or direct debit if you're in Australia.
Neck - AU$300 (purchased new for AU$450 before shipping) TUNERS NOT INCLUDED Quartersawn maple (slight flaming)
Indian rosewood slab fretboard
9.5 radius
1 and 3/4 inch nut width
0.89 inch thickness at the first fret and 1 inch at the 12th fret
Stainless Steel 6105 frets
Truss rod 59 style
mother of pearl dots
Stainless steel inserts and bolts
Tuner holes are 10mm
Bone nut
Awesome neck... very smooth and comfortable. The extra nut width helped. Feels almost like an acoustic. The sustain is phenomenal... it's better than my Les Paul styled set neck guitar. (I used a Callaham bridge with titanium saddles).
Strat body early 1960's style shape $200 (purchased new for $386)
Alder 2 piece
3 pounds 14 oz
Vintage trem rout with 6 screw vintage trem holes
Copper shielded
Olympic white but turning mint/yellow
A few dings from some use
This is the most comfortable body and lightest body I have had on a guitar. My other strats are customs and so I can't use the body.
Bill Lawrence L280 set (with L290 bridge) $80 (recently purchased from RH Guitars from this forum. But as I said, this guitar has to go for me to get a tele)
I have compared these to DiMarzio Area 58s, Area 67s and Area 61s... they are in between an Area 67 and 61. If you set them low from the strings the mids scoop, if you raise them, you get your mids back. Harmonic content is excellent, if you crank your amp, they sing. And are as quiet as can be even at high gain (I used them on a cranked Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier... not a peep). They are very touch sensitive, you can change your tone by how hard you pick... extremely versatile pickups. I'm only selling them because they don't fit in my other strats as they are a little taller than a standard single coil.
thanks for looking,
SB9
