Gibson Les Paul – Michael Bloomfield 1959 Reissue

One of 300 made by the Gibson Custom Shop in 2009, 100 were “Murphy Aged”, the remainder (this one) in VOS. It is in ex-factory condition, and with all original delivery collateral, signed case, and Gibson COA. This is a very nice guitar.

Available for inspection in Melbourne, can be shipped AUS wide.

Incredibly rare and discontinued guitar. Absolutely gorgeous looking and sounding guitar. A few specs:

This Firebird was purchased in 2004. It is well played and loved with a whole lotta mojo going on. The body has it's fair share of dings and some of the gold hardware is tarnished, just like any Gibson/Epi when it isn't brand new. In terms of playability, the guitar is 110%. Sounds absolutely amazing.

I will include a FULL professional setup and fresh set of string for the buyer.

This 2010 R8 is part of a limited edition run of 30 guitars built for the Japanese market in 2010 and this was the first one sold - the pick of the entire bunch for it's sonic qualities... and it also happens to have one of the most realistic looking tops to ever come of of the Gibson Custom Shop.

It's a very articulate and resonant guitar, very loud acoustically with 'Tele-like' qualities that are very desirable in a Les Paul, and weighs in at a very reasonable 8.6lbs. It has a very comfortable medium/large "C" shaped neck as is typical of 2009-2011 R8's and R9's.

I've upgraded all of the hardware on this guitar with the top of the range aftermarket parts so that it sounds even better, however I'm prepared to offer it with the stock hardware installed or with the aftermarket parts (stock parts will come with the aftermarket parts).

Aftermarket hardware includes -

Throbak TD-102 MXV LTD pickups (with NOS wire)
Pigtail Steel Studs
Pigtail tailpiece
Pigtail ABR-1 bridge and poles
Over the Pond pickup rings
Montruex bonnet knobs
Montruex Switch ring and jackplate
Mojoaxe pickguard
Kluson single line tuners (white tips)
RS Guitarworks CTS500 pots and Luxe PIO Bumblebee caps

These parts alone cost me well over $2k

This guitar is in pristine condition with no dings/scratches and only very light play wear, it has the original hard case, case candy and COA.

Asking $5000 + freight with stock parts or $6500 + freight with aftermarket parts (no offers thanks)

The only reason I'm selling it is to help finance the re-purchase of one of my old vintage guitars.

Guitar with original stock hardware (this guitar came stock with the covers removed showing the exposed zebra Burstbuckers, however the covers are included).

I have an as new VOX AC30C2 that I'm looking to offload. I love this amp but it just isn't getting the play time that it deserves.

I see these anywhere from $1150-1300 online but willing to let it go for $1000. As mentioned it is basically brand new. Been to about 4 rehearsals and otherwise used at home semi regularly and never really cranked. I need to get something a little smaller.

Pictures coming if required. I'm Gold Coast based but up in Brisbane every few days so I can deliver up there if needed.
