Full volume, no attenuation, only a single dynamic mic. It's a 2004 R9 made with real nice wood. Honduran mahogany from South-America with incredibly dense growth rings (about 60-80 rings / inch) which means the tree must have been a couple hundred years old when cut down. The top is typical Eastern hard maple. The fingerboard is Madagascar that looks exactly like Braz (dense, oily, dark with long pores). The amp is a '69 Marshall JMP 50.

A couple of pics are included below the video.

Fantastic playing and very authentic vintage tone. Have you thought about replacing the reissue Greenbacks in your cab with Pulsonics??

My favorite burst tone is that throaty tone. where the top end is still tight and defined with sparkle. But the midrange is just denser with texture. I like my pups but the one tweak I would make to them is to give them 10-15% more body. Just that much more of weight and just a tiny bump wider Frequency space per string. Just +10%…

Besides nailing the Burst Tone, I like that you filmed it in black & white to give it that vintage vibe.

Never thought to count rings, nice idea. Will listen on proper speakers.
