I'm not sure of your point, are you trying to say that because of gun control citizens were defenseless and were slaughtered?

Beats me. I'm too lazy to verify any of those facts.

Do you have gun control in the U.K., resulting in the slaughter of millions of innocents?

If you can read this, I'm in before the lock.

Could be he's merely saying that repressive regimes have always tended to disarm the citizens before they got around to conducting a pogrom of any sort.

Makes sense as to why they'd do that, too.

There is also an assumption in the OP that having guns would have made a difference.

What about the countries with strict gun control where this doesn't happen?? :hmm:

Yeah, I'm not sure what the OP is getting at either but it does amaze me that Great Britian and Australia can disarm and not have these types of disasters happen in their country. If the OP is saying that the states should disarm because a more civilized nation can handle it then I would wholeheartedly disagree. It seems that the examples above alone should warn us that these liberties should not be taken for granted.

Then let's compare the amount of violent crimes committed with legal guns and the amount of violent crimes committed with illegal guns.

What difference is between a crime with a legal gun vs an illegal gun?? A gun is a gun I thought.:hmm:
