Crap, I almost named names and confessed, and I did nothing and know no one.

He should be fined for flagrant misuse of the term music.
I don't care what anyone says, I still say he recorded it with:

* Five Kirby vacuum cleaners with stripped bearings
* Ten antique General Electric triple-whip mixers with lubrication drained and dials set on differing speeds
* Three tree grinders
* Four pipe grinders
* Ten window air conditioners drained of their motor lubrication
* Four power saws
* Four power drills
* Ten dental drills.

How about Lou Reed going from this . . .

. . . to this . . .

. . . back to this . . .

Even in a career that was practically trademarked by left turns that's as extreme as it gets.

(And I still think the government would save itself a lot of time opprobrium if they use Metal Machine Music instead of waterboarding for torture. One listen to Metal Machine Music and the terrorists will confess, name names, and give directions!)

Love Coney Island Baby.

Even in a life full of too many left turns (dangerous and otherwise), this one was a real lulu from Phil Spector . . .

From . . .

. . . to . . .
