You can add this one to the older than dirt category - Manual Singer Sewing Machines. My grandmother had this old Singer that you would have to rock this pedal back and forth to make the sewing needle go up and down.

These aren't too old but still pretty old - Radios/TVs that had tubes in them.

Now that you reminded me, I remember all that stuff. Although, we didn't have a party line. I also remember Western Jamboree on Saturday morning just after the test pattern(which I watched until the Western Jamboree came on).
I also remember actually going outside without supervision and playing outside all day until being called in for supper.
EDIT: I remember watching the coverage of John Glen's launch into space on our Black and white TV.

I had 10 at first, until I googled the blue flashbulb. Working for Kodak I remembered my Grandfather had them. If I remember them correctly they were also square and rotated. You could get four photos out of one bulb.

I guess I come from a generation where any back talk was not tolerated. Even the inquisitive question was concidered sassing back. A good way to get knocked on your a$$ for real.

O.P. Out of all you mentioned the best was having to ask to be excused from the table. I like to add at least in my house we were quiet at the table and not allowed to bring up anything bad from earlier in the day until my father ate his dinner.
