Before I post this I know the purchase was my fault. And someone will tell me I should not have contacted the seller after the sale.
As you guys know my car was totaled. I found a good deal on a used car. My buddy is a top notch mechanic but could not go with me. He looked at the ad and told me unless there was something major to buy it. I looked the car over. Looked at ONE tire. Drove it in a small community. And bought it.
I followed the wife home and she drove it. She called me and said at highway speeds it had a slight wobble. I have a friend who runs a tire store so I called and she got me in right away. On the way to the tire store I stopped and had the oil changed and everything underneath checked.....everything looked fine BUT the check engine light came on while I was there. It looked "funny" and on closer inspection it had been blacked out with marker. They checked it and just an O2 sensor.
Light comes on and goes off randomly now.
Tire Store.....2 different brands of tires. 3 trash , one with three plugs, 2 in the sidewall. I had planned on new tires anyway so......
I texted the seller, told him I was very disappointed because I had trusted him and he gave me his word everything worked and there were no issues (still a really good deal even with the found issues) and there were a couple of things that didn't work and the tires were illegally plugged and the check engine light was blacked out..... his response was to call me racist, tell me I didn't trust black people or even like black people.
