Is there anyone on here with a Gibson Les Paul Florentine? The semi-hollow body type with F-Holes?

I am in need of some gut shots, specs and/or measurements if it is possible. I own an Epiphone version of this guitar and love it but I want to try my hand at building one out of real woods vs. plywood.

Specifics: Perimeter and back thickness, What does the bridge support area look like through the control cavity? What do the pickup and control cavities look like on the inside?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!:dude:

If I can get enough information I can publish an informative 1:1 PDF file. :fingersx:

Its kinda weird. But I like it. The cream plastic is gorgeous.

Hahahaa! Yeah a little different. I had an ES-135 with P-90's and a Bigsby that a traded in a moment of idiocy for a 52' Tele reissue. The Tele wasn't doing it for me so I traded that for the Epiphone Les Paul ES.

My ES 135 looked like this one: :(

The Gibson one had a solid block running through it up to the stop tail so the studs and pickup routs were pretty much standard with any other Les Paul. The top was solid maple and only graded on the outside the back had something like a .25" parameter for a gluing surface and had the standard control route in the back. Not sure how thick the back was but it was deep enough to account for the thickness of the control plate and still have enough meat to screw it down secure. If I remember right the block in the center was wide enough the the main humbucker route with the "ear" portion cutting through the block to expose the cavity so the wires to the 3 way could be fished through that.

Wow. Thanks for this info. Sounds like it was constructed like the Chambered (Cloud 9) Les Paul. Like this?

This is the chambering they are doing on the Dark Fire and BFG I think:

Yeah essentially like the cloud 9, though I could swear the parameter gluing surface was thinner than that. It's been a while since I've seen the inside of one though.
