hello everybody,
i'm new to this forum, just got my first lp (studio fireburst) last week
and i must say, after using an epi g400 (a decent guitar) for years now,
the difference is amazing. should have switched to a gibson a long time ago...
however, the only thing that bothers me with my new guitar is the pickups,
(490r and 498t), especially the one in the neck position... it's just not "warm"
enough for my style. (classic, southern and heavy rock).
i visited seymourduncan.com and listened to all their clips for a long time and
the ones i liked best were the '59 model - neck and bridge.
i'll be happy to hear if someone put these in his lp studio and what was his
impression.
also, i kind of like the stock bridge pickup but i dont know how will it pair with a 59. i'm guessing not so good... what do you experts think?
i'd love to hear your experiences with this subject.
