You probably don't know it, but you are asking about 3 different pots and caps. 2000 and 2001 have pots that say Gibson on the back and had printed circuit board traces from the solder lugs to the inside of the pots. They also used brown, round ceramic disc caps. The 2002 R9's were a one year only guitar that had NOS pots and caps that Gibson sourced from the '70's and '80's. And there were only around 300 R9's made that year. Then in 2003, new CTS pots and the reissue BumbleBee caps.

Holy shit Mark, haha. Dont know what to say, haha. That was the answer I needed. The post oin my 2003 R9 are the same pots as shown on Breks picture above, however, my 2001 has the Gibson stamped ones. Unfortunately I cant see the pot codes on the pots from my 2001.

So I bought these pots. https://reverb.com/item/13227112-gib-300xl-vintage-gibson-300k-long-audio-taper-3-4-bushing-guitar-potentiometer-pot

The pot codes on them are
56-44070034
46-44070034

Are they from 2000 - 2001?
Well you bought the wrong pots. Those are 300K long shaft pots for a Gibson USA guitar, not a reissue. You need 500K short shaft pots.

Hey Mark, does this apply to 2002 R8’s or just R9’s?
