Or anything really, I have no wish to play an instrument that's the color of baby poo.

To each their own. Fortunately baby poo never enters my thought spectrum, so, you know, I don't see it in places that it's not.

Maybe you're telling us you've never seen tobacco colored poo? Or anything disgusting that was cherry red, ahem?

I've always loved the look and tone of the guitar. No matter what Peter may have said about the guitar (remember he didn't like putting too much into materialistic views), it definitely inspired him and Gary to make some great music and it had a very unique tone.

I have the WCR PG/Moore's and the Throbak PG's and have flipped magnets on other pickups they don't quite get the Greeney tone, nor have I heard anybody catch it in clips except maybe member skydog (forget his YouTube name - dayn or something)

I agree, the CC series from Gibson were just a rip-off - didn't look anything like the real Bursts. Definitely were less accurate than replicas/clones you could get for much less.

I do. I love the "lemon bursts" or "un-bursts" if that's what you call them. An amber finish with a hint of flame, worn by decades of blues and rock touring.

The green lemon color is the only '58-'60 Murphy Labs guitar that I have lusted after since they came out. Heavy aged only

I love Greeny, and would love to have a high quality replica of her.

One of the great sounds that drew me to Les Pauls.

I do have a Lester fitted with Bare Knuckles PG pickups and it gets the blood pumping well enough for now.

I have a set in my Deluxe and I love 'em!

dig Greeny. And Kossoff’s… it’s their sound IMO mostly the pickups, which may share history…
There may never again in human history be another “tone archeologist” unearthing the lore, sharing the story, and making the repro pickups according to it, as this dude: https://www.throbak.com/throbak-paul-kossoff-paf-pickups.html

i feel lucky to have a set of these, even if they were as common as chewing gum at the store, because the sound and characteristics are legit

Q: which is better the neck or bridge?
A: yes

nice...what did you have to give for it if you dont mind my asking.might move a couple of gits soon and would be on the lookout for something like that...

Gave a little more then I wanted at 550 but had Jimmy Page wiring mod, GFS pickups, and was the closest flame pattern to the Greenie I could find.

TBH, I never had a "thing" for Greenie. Pearly Gate? Yup. Page's No. 1? Absolutely! Rossington's Bernice? Damn Straight. Just always thought Greenie was kinda ugly and sounded kinda weird. But maybe I was getting it mixed up with myself.

I love the specs, Kirk Hammett, the previous owners and I love anything 1959 related

but, I think the greenie is worn out to a point that doesn't attract me anymore.

I prefer Joe Perry's R9 for its looks
