I had a Zune 30 and upgraded to a 120 last year. The 120 worked FLAWLESSLY until MS came out with the Zune HD. Why? Because the new 4.0 software doesn't let me sync properly!?!? :mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

I've looked all over the net and I see the same thing: Zune 80/120 + Windows 7 = sync errors, or a painfully slow sync.

I am seriously considering a f'n ipod!? WTF!?!

I love my Zune, I find it easier to load music into it. I buy MP3 from Amazon, it goes right to my Zune, when I want to burn a CD, I use the Zune site.

Just trying to help, there should be an easy solution somewhere.

All MS has to do is update their goddamn software. They did it every time a new model was released, but with the HD, it screwed us up. The 120 is the latest non-flash model, so that's why this is driving me so crazy. Knowing me I'll wait 2 days and buy something else on impulse. I dread running itunes on my comp though... ugh.

Everyone says they hate itunes and the apple "control", but the songs from itunes aren't protected anymore. idk what that means about playing it in other programs since I don't use anything other than itunes. I think it's a great program, and ever since my first ipod, I haven't had a single problem with any of my ipods.

What I like about mine is, a few months back, GC had a blues contest. They had 20 or so really great blues tracks from Pete Anderson. I saved them to my computer, loaded them on the Zune, and then I plug it into my G Dec, and I'm jamming with Pete Anderson. I don't know if Ipods do that. But it was easy on the Zune. Besides that, I've got a bone to pick with Apple marketing. I've been an independent cell phone agent for 20 years. When they brought out the I-Phone they wouldn't allow independent dealers to sell them. So they took food off my table. Fuck em, I'll keep buying Zunes.

always had an ipod and had no problems with it or the apple software...my current one is very old now and doesn't work properly...but after years of use you can't expect them to last forever... so its time for a new one though. (getting it tomorrow)

If you get an iPod and you hate iTunes, you can download Copy Trans from this site: Transfer iPod to iTunes, copy iPod to PC and iPod to computer The Copy Trans software itself is free, but you'll have to download the whole suite (which comes with trials for all of the other software).

It allows you to bypass the "syncing" with just one iTunes library and you can also put it on your iPod and run it on any computer you're on since it is self-contained.

I use it because I have an iPhone and 4 separate computers with four 4 separate music libraries and iTunes won't let me sync to more than one.

You'll need to install the latest iTunes and sync your iPod just once to get the necessary drivers so you can use Copy Trans. After that you can uninstall iTunes.

iPod Touch and jailbreak it. Then you don't even need to use iTunes for your music, videos, etc. You can transfer all that stuff over wifi or USB. The iTunes app runs slow and freezes occasionally on windows, got sick of it and jailbroke mine after like a month. This thing is prfect now..
