Anybody have a recent Heritage Cherry Sunburst LP Standard pic to share? clown or nah?

I've bought a Heritage Cherry 60's from Sweetwater on a gamble that "the website pics don't do it justice" but for the last 3 nights I've laid awake wondering if I'm getting a guitar that will look like a candy cane. But I hope the white brick sweetwater background and the lighting are distorting the way it looks in real life. Anybody got a good pic of a recent Heritage Cherry Sunburst to cheer me up (nobody post the clown photo with the 5 ugly guitars and Bozo ok They look better than this in real life don't they?

Just hope those reflections right at the blend point are obscuring a soft transition. What do the other pics look like?

just added the other two pics. I'll find out tomorrow night (darn thing sat in fedex warehouse in my town all weekend doh). well it will maybe come down to a) send it back or b) embrace the Ace. the pics I've been able to find on reverb don't look bad but they don't look like this sweetwater color mix either. these two pics here are the exact same sweetwater guitar - tech on the bench with cell phone vs website shot. so you you kinda never know with Sweetwater

Maybe go in to the Sweetwater reviews and see whether anyone's uploaded pics of their own there? I've bought multiple guitars from SW, and while I love that you see the actual guitar you're buying (depending on the guitar, of course), I think just about everything I've bought looked better in real life than in their photos.

That was good advise. I have never looked at the reviews because I expect web sites to smash all Standards together and basically make the reviews meaningless - but the sweetwater reviews are specific down to the model and color (although it looks to me like one Iced Tea snuck in there). very helpful thanks.

I dont have a pic to attach but my 50's hcsb looks a lot classier in person than in the online pics. I was worried a bit, like you, but it turned out great. My red is darker, more burgundy like in person. It was the last color I would've chosen if it weren't for the fact that it's the only color they had at the time. Now I love it!

The one I had was a pretty sweet finish.

Not a trace of Bozoburst to be seen.

I’ve noticed the same thing at retailers, and it’s caused me to pause on pursuing a purchase. I can’t tell if the pictures are super bright or hyper-exposed, and that’s causing the red in the burst to appear light, or if what I am seeing is truly the color in person.

I’ve seen many pictures from guys that bought the HCS models, and their colors look great in their pics, but the pics at the retailers make the red look like the wrong shade of red.

Sweetwater's white balance is thrown off by their background, which I believe is actually a bit on the grey side of white.
Reds are hard to photograph to begin with if you want to capture the true color, and Sweetwater's pics ain't it.

In my experience cherry bursts are hard to photograph. But I'm a hack!

This is a 2021 model that I recently had. Very nice top figuring and super dark fretboard. It did have a bit of clownburst effect on it.

I think I would love that. When some flame makes it through the color transition it seems to help a lot

well the figure doesn't disappoint (AAA upcharge) but... I don't think I'm going to like the pinkish hue. after all those days of anticipation, I think I'm sending this back and keeping the two-tone bourbon burst. I'm going to ponder it after the work day is over and I can look again with fresh eyes. but right now I vibe with the bourbon better... two tone prominent center seam and all

I don't know man, that is a beautiful guitar. But if you don't like it, you don't like it.
