I first heard about him when Gibson released his signature model a couple of years ago and have been a fan since. Not to mention his beautiful 59' burst.

Yep.

Definitely ended my life as a Folkie, hearing him.

A better evangelist of electric Chicago Blues has never been. Him and Paul Butterfield taught the whole county about where THEY had got it from too!

I've tried to emulated his style and I'll tell you what: it takes a LONG time to synthesize just a couple of his licks!

Supersession, and A Long Time Comin' (Electric Flag)... had THE absolute BADDEST tone!

Absolutely great guitar player. Found out about him at the end of the 60's and every time I hear him I learn somethin' new.

First time I heard MB was The Electric Flag. I'm a big fan. My two favorites by him are the first Paul Butterfield Blues Band record and, The Essential Mike Bloomfield CD.

Heard him live in Chicago in the west side neighborhood bars..were I grew up.
A Long time ago..an amazing musician..and troubled guy..always decent and down to earth.

Still listening to him now about 50 years..

Of course!

I loved everything he did from Electric Flag to Butterfield to Super Session. To this day, his playing on Super Session on song's like Albert's Shuffle is my favorite of his playing.

I liked his super clear chimey tone, and the fact that he liked the combo of LPs into Fender amps like I do, made me like him even more. ;)
