Are there any affordable usa models to look for? I'd probably be more down for an 80s USA beater than one of the new US cusom shop ones as they are way out of my price range.

their older caddies are more expensive than their newer stuff used, but you never know.

Jag Panzer, a band from the 80's (same band that has chris broderick) has one of their members, mark, on the dean forum that is selling his, or was selling it at least.

the only two guitars i REALLY want from dean right now are their soltero and their V. maybe down the road a really deced out Z, but thats a Maybe...

I used to have a dean that was very similar to that one but it didn't have that headstock... one night after practice the drummer decided to have a party and someone got drunk and ran into the drumset and broke the neck off, busted out one of the pickups and broke off the volume pot... I trashed it. I was so pissed off that the next day I took all of my equipment to the pawn shop and sold it to them for about 20% of what it was worth... I am such a hothead sometimes. There was some good equipment including an old Marshall 50/50 rackmount amp and footswitch. Oh well... those were the good ol days...

I still wonder why Dean doesn`t do a carve top Caddy, and yet they let the Korean version be carve top.
