The thing with relics, is exactly the way Keith Richards put it, when he actually kick-started the whole relicing idea.

The Fender CS gave him a couple of Micawber replicas to take on the road with him and he called them back and said: "I don't feel comfortable with them, they're too shiny! Could you bash them up a little?"

I think he pretty much nailed it! :cool:

So for $200 you can buy brand new or you can give this guy $235 for one that is ruined. Makes good sense to me. All you have to do is add Slash to the guitars name and then torch it for a $35 profit. Woo Hoo good for him.

I just don't understand it. Why would someone want a new guitar that looks like hell?
