Couldn't move the knurled nut on mine for love nor money. Removed the switch cavity cover, slight turn on the switch, nut came loose immediately. Magic.
Of course you can learn to setup your own guitars! I started working/experimenting on my own guitars in the 60's, and I didn't know sh+t when I started! It just takes time, patience, and the willingness to ask the right people, the right questions! First, I visited all my local guitar shops and made friends with the repairmen. Later, I worked for one of those shops, and eventually I worked with Fender and G&L. Trust me, If I can do it, you can do it!The MN spanner tool came in, I applied the microfiber backing, opened the back plate on the LP and held it in place while using the spanner, removed the old poker chip and put the new one on
