That's right.

Hello.

Les Paul wise I have a Granada Les Paul copy, and a Gibson Les Paul Custom.

I got the Gibson real cheap--it was used and had been modified. It was also when Jacksons were all the rage.

So while I never got into Jacksons, they did help lower the price of the Les Paul I bought.

The previous owner had put on Grovers-I replaced those with Schallers. They had also changed the pickups, which I didn't like--but I traded those to pay for labour and assorted parts to put a Seymour Duncan Duncan Distortion in the bridge & a Seymourizer II in the neck, and wire them with Push/Pull pots to have each pickup wired series or parallel. (Normal humbuckers are wired in series--the signal goes through one coil, then the other--parallel the signal goes through both coils at the same time--it's like two single coils placed next to each other.)

This gives the following options for sounds-
1-Bridge pickup in series
2-Bridge pickup in parallel
3-Neck pickup in series
4-Neck pickup in parallel
5-Bridge pickup in series/Neck pickup in series
6-Bridge pickup in parallel/Neck pickup in parallel
7-Bridge pickup in series/Neck pickup in parallel
8-Bridge pickup in parallel/Neck pickup in series

I use them all, but recently I've been mostly using the neck pickup on its own--both in series & in parallel.
